The
charter rate of the Twin Otter is US$1,450 per flight hour charged
on a per minute basis. This rate applies to the carrying of either
passengers or cargo and applies to actual flying time only. There
is no charge for reasonable waiting or loading/unloading time.
Depending on the start/finish points of the charter, there may be an additional cost incurred to position the aircraft to or from its home base. However, if the charterer is able to be flexible with regard to timing, it is sometimes possible to reduce or eliminate these "dead leg" costs by the coordination of two or more charters.
The only other additional costs are those related to taxes and charges levied by airports, governments and handling agents in respect to the passengers or cargo. These charges vary from island to island so we have not included them here. We will, however, advise you of any additional charges before we confirm your charter.
Our aircraft have a maximum load capacity of approx. 4,400 lbs. However, the amount of passengers, baggage and/or cargo that can be carried will depend on the length of the flight and the amount of fuel required. Whilst we endeavor to fulfill every charter request, we can only do this within the operational constraints of the aircraft.
