The Twin Otter has been in service throughout the world for forty years, and has developed a safety record second to none. Both of our aircraft are leased from the US, and are maintained and operated in accordance with both FAA and CAA regulations. The aircraft are insured in the US and carry US$20 million Public Liability Insurance.
The
Twin Otter is a turbine powered aircraft, with a short take off
and landing (STOL) capability enabling it to operate into
virtually every airport in the Eastern Caribbean - including Mustique,
Union Island, and St.Barts. It's (STOL) capability, coupled with
its two powerful 650 hp Pratt and Whitney turboprop engines and
exemplary safety record, has made it ideal for working in some of
the world's toughest locations. Twin Otters are the aircraft of
choice in the harshest of conditions in Canada's Arctic, Alaska,
Antarctica, and throughout the world, especially where runways are
short and conditions often challenging. The weather in the Caribbean
is far from harsh, and conditions are certainly not "challenging",
but nevertheless, there is no better aircraft for operations in
the Caribbean. |
